What is Open Access?

Open Access means free and unrestricted access to scientific publications on the Internet. Open Access is therefore an integral part of Open Science and also the standard of modern scientific practice demanded by various funding organizations.

By signing the Berlin Declaration on Open Access and adopting an Open Science Policy, RUB has committed itself to promoting and supporting Open Science within the institution.
