A long-standing partner of Bochum University Library

The long-standing donation partnership with Bochum University Library began in the summer semester of 2007. The graduate engineer Arndt Hallemeier began with an annual donation of a considerable amount. This donation is used to finance certain e-book packages as well as to build up and maintain three special collections - on Goethe, Hölderlin and Gottfried Keller.

Asked about his most memorable experience in connection with our house, Mr. Hallemeier replied:

"As a student, I was surprised that there was such a large library. Suddenly I had access to many different areas of knowledge. At times, I was constantly lugging around a huge volume of Mondrian's paintings."
