Bochum University Library is also committed to sustainability. On the occasion of World Clean Up Day 2024, this took us to the green center of Bochum: to the city park. Seven colleagues from our library set out with equipment from USB Bochum to collect garbage – and were successful. A barbecue grill, a large metal plate, clothes hangers, lots of bottles and cigarette butts – after 2 hours, an estimated 150 liters were collected. As the weather played along, the whole thing was not only successful, but also enjoyable 😊 Plans are already being made for the coming year.
