“Looking deep into the maps” – cooperation project between Bochum University Library and Martin Opitz Library Herne wins TIP Award
Diego Siqueira (Bochum University Library) and Dr. Arkadiusz Danszczyk (MOB Herne) are among the winners of the Team Award Information Professionals (TIP) 2024 with their MALIS project “Looking deep into the maps - Cooperative retro-digitization and technical-conceptual redevelopment of a map portal with the participation of Bochum University Library and Martin Opitz Library”.
The joint map portal increases the visibility and scientific use of the map collections of both libraries. External applications for visualization, network analysis and full-text recognition as well as a feasibility study for the implementation of long-term archiving were integrated. The award ceremony will take place at BiblioCon in Hamburg on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 14:00 to 16:00 in room B2 / 1st floor.
