RUB students and staff

You can access e-books, e-journals and databases in the RUB network or from home via VPN.
It is also possible to log into the RUB network on campus via eduroam or to use the permanently installed PC workstations in the staircase of the University Library.
Some publishers offer access via Shibboleth in addition to the VPN tunnel.

UAR students

External users

Terms of use for electronic offers

The following regulations apply to the use of fee-based or licensed services:

Access to the full texts is only permitted to members of Ruhr-University Bochum and registered external users of the University Library.
The full texts of the articles may only be saved for personal use and for research purposes.
Systematic downloading of articles or search results, in particular by robots, is prohibited.
Articles or other electronic resources may not be passed on to third parties or used commercially, either electronically or in printed form.
