The exhibition is extended until October 7, 2024
As part of the teaching project "Wasser im Wandel – Eine postindustrielle Gewässergeschichte des Ruhrgebiets" (Water in Transition - A Postindustrial Water History of the Ruhr Area), students at the Ruhr University have set out in interdisciplinary groups to approach the Ruhr from both a literary and a scientific perspective. In doing so, they look at time windows from the aquifer to the atmosphere, but also at the effects of mining on the Ruhr and the interaction between the Ruhr and people today.
With its interactive, multimedia elements, the exhibition allows visitors to immerse themselves in the creative interdisciplinary process and take in different perspectives along the Ruhr. From the Nachtigall Colliery to Hardenstein Castle, from Hattingen to Villa Hügel - the power lies in the Ruhr.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 12 noon in the DH Space (Room 0/08).
The exhibition can be seen during regular opening hours.
Admission is free.
